1st Anniversary Party - May 14, 2016
It was fun for friends and neighbors and a nice relxing way for the volunteers who built the park to celebrate.

San Jose Sharks
San Jose Parks Foundation, partnering with the Sherman Oaks Neighborhoods, Campbell School District, the San Jose Sharks, and KaBOOM! built a new playground adjacent to Sherman Oaks Elementary School - at the corner of Leigh and Fruitdale in San Jose.
Speaheaded by energetic community activist Ramona Snyder, the project had been talked about for nearly a year.
It finally came together on May 15, 2015 with the San Jose Sharks Foundation providing the largest share of funds, neiighbors and parnets chipping in and a mathching grant provided by the Mary Laurene Reber Trust via San Jose Parks Foundation.
We also are raising funds for long-term maintenance and improvements. Every dollar helps, so be generous, if you are able to contribute.

We needed to raise at least $10,000 to cover installation, organization and permitting for the build.
Thank you to all of you who contributed. We are still raising funds for rainy day needs and maintenance, so you may still donate.
Any amount helps us build this very special community playground. To donate, click below and select "Sherman Oaks KaBOOM!" from the pulldown menu.
