Supporting San Jose Parks, Trails, and Recreation Programs
San Jose Parks Foundation is taking over the City’s program of providing Dog Waste Bags in parks throughout the park and trail system.
The Dog Waste Program is being financed by donations from citizens. A case of 2,400 bags is available from San Jose Parks Foundation for $100 per case. The $100 is tax-deductible and may be made via check (payable to: San Jose Parks Foundation) or by donating directly online (below).
Whether sending a check to P.O. Box 53841 or donating online, make sure to indicate that your donation is for Dog Waste Bags. We currently have a limited supply.
We are seeking donors to help cover the cost of purchasing these special compostable dog waste bags to supply the dispensers citywide.
Hit the Donate Now button and go directly to our easy-to-use donation site. Select Dog Waste Bags and donate any amount. One case of 2,400 costs $100, a half a case is $55. You may donate any amount, however. Be sure to let us know if you intend your donation for a specific park.
We also need volunteers to help maintain the supplies and to monitor usage of the Dog Waste Bags.
We currently have coverage in about a dozen parks and are actively seeking additional people for the Dog Waste Bag network.
If you would like to join this network as an individual or as a community group, please contact us by completing the form on the volunteer page. Click here to go to the volunteer page.
